DCD (Developmental Coordination Disorder) is neurological deficiency, what could be negative influence to school maturity of children. This motor skills disorder that affects four to six percent of all school-aged children. The ratio of boys to girls varies from 2:1 to 7:1, depending on the group studied. There are two suitable diagnostic instruments with Czech standard (OTDP a MABC - 2). Motor skills disorders can be one of factor for postponement of school attendance. Although there is currently no cure for DCD, early intervention and treatment may help to reduce the emotional, physical and social consequences that are often associated with this disorder. There is question, if motor skills disorders are connected with, motor development and postponement of school attendance. We have to be sure, if children with motor skills disorders have more often postponement of school attendance than children without disorders.
