AB  - The aim of the first part of this article is to summarize the results of research focusing on the difficulties in the integration of foreign children into the Czech preschool system in the Ústí nad Labem region. Particular attention will be paid to statistical data concerning the number of foreign children attending preschools in the region and to the requirements of the teacher and other pedagogical staff with a view to generally improving the Czech school educational system. In the second part of the article a proposal by the Ministry of Education is outlined, which should lead to better support in the education of children with differing mother tongues within the Czech preschool system.
