In January 2016 a discussion about professional qualifications of teachers in kindergartenswas was opened at the Ministry of Education. The paper discusses the quality in relation to the qualification and presents the results of studies related to this problem. The paper is an overview study focused on the topic of teacher in kindergarten. The study shows that the profession of kindergarten teachers includes a number of specific and demanding activities, which are not always being implemented in practice. At the same time introduces the concept of reflective practice, which is part of the discourse on initial teacher education.
